Workbench Investigation Simulation Environment.
Project Overview
Overview
WISE is an enterprise workforce and operational management experience designed to support users in managing work activities, operational tasks, resources, and business processes across complex service environments.
The platform enables users to coordinate, monitor, and execute operational activities efficiently while providing visibility across workflows, resources, and ongoing work.
As Lead UX Designer, I contributed to improving workflow clarity, simplifying operational complexity, and exploring opportunities to modernize the overall user experience.
The Challenge
Challenge
Enterprise operational platforms often evolve over many years, resulting in:
Complex navigation structures
Information-heavy screens
Multiple disconnected workflows
High cognitive load for users
Inconsistent experiences across modules
Users needed a more intuitive and efficient way to navigate workflows, understand information, and complete daily operational tasks.
The challenge was to improve usability while maintaining the flexibility and depth required by enterprise users.
My Role
My Role
As Lead UX Designer, I collaborated with Product Managers, Engineers, Architects, and stakeholders to:
Conduct product discovery activities
Analyze workflow challenges
Review information architecture
Facilitate design discussions
Explore future-state concepts
Create prototypes and interaction patterns
Support design system consistency
Discovery & Research
Understanding Operational Workflows
To better understand user needs and workflow complexity, activities included:
Workflow mapping
UX reviews
Stakeholder workshops
Competitor benchmarking
Information architecture assessments
Discovery sessions
The focus was on identifying friction points and opportunities to improve usability and workflow efficiency.
Design Approach
